Your Weekly Stats...

Provided by our Club Statistician, Ken Clark, who enters data from club sessions and generates a variety of different reports. New reports are usually posted before the next club session.   Thank you Ken!

Remember that under our two-tier system, players whose average score for the year is at least 365 points per game MUST play white card. If your average is below this cutoff you MAY choose to play blue card OR white card. To see your current average, please check the most recent Standings in the table below.

Triple-Triple Hall Of Fame - from 1992-present

The January 17th club session was cancelled due to adverse weather, so no Stats for that week. :-(

[Note: Club Average Score is computed for the calendar year, so we will be starting over in January 2012. Standings will be posted starting after the third club session of the year. Players with fewer than 9 club games for the calendar year must get 3 bingos in a row to qualify for the Bingo Bonus prize. As usual, the Standings only lists players who have played at least 9 games.]

If you think there's an error in the stats...

If your card is not turned in, the statistician will try to reconstruct your scores from looking at your opponents' cards. Your bingo numbers, high play, etc., will obviously be lost.

If the statistician cannot read your card, he'll make his best guess--so please write neatly, write your full name and that of your opponent. If you think there might be an error, you can contact our Statistician, Ken Clark, by e-mail. Remember, he's a hard-working, unpaid volunteer too--so be nice!

A big Thank You! to our retired statisticians: Mike Frentz, Doug Kruyt and Christina O'Sullivan. Mike did the stats for 4 years (2007-2011), Doug did the stats for over a year and a half, and Christina did the stats for club for over 7 years!

New Standings formula effective January 26th 2010

For several months there has been discussion among some club members about changing how the standings are calculated. Previously, players have been ranked by Average Score. Some folks thought that this was leading players to focus more on increasing their average score rather than trying to win more games or win by a greater margin (as would be the goal at a tournament).

So, we are experimenting with a new ranking method: standings will show players ranked by Percentage of Games Won. You can still see your average score in the standings report, and there is a stat page that has players ranked by Average Score if you want to see that.

Let's see what this new formula does. Discuss and give your feedback.
